Operation Boyfriend

Operation Boyfriend follows Dean Hollis, a highly controlled heart surgeon in New York, and Taylan “Tay” Carter, a friendly but anxious final-year surgical resident at the same hospital. Both men have built their lives around medicine, leaving little room for serious relationships. Dean’s younger sister, Charley, is preparing for a destination wedding on a private island in Cambodia. Tired of his family worrying about his permanent single status, Dean impulsively claims that he is seeing someone and may bring his boyfriend to the wedding. Once the lie spreads through the family, he needs to find a convincing partner. Dean’s friend Gregg suggests Tay, who is overworked, short on money and desperate for a proper holiday. Tay agrees to pretend to be Dean’s boyfriend in exchange for an all-expenses-paid week at a luxury resort. Although Dean is now an attending physician and Tay is a junior doctor, Tay is not currently working under his direct supervision, allowing them to believe the arrangement can remain separate from the hospital.
