Synopsis

SwapLife follows two eighteen-year-old boys, Pasha Zadeh and Natan Santos, who live on opposite sides of the world and both feel trapped by the futures their families expect for them. Pasha lives a wealthy life in Los Angeles but is still grieving his mother, while Natan lives in Rio de Janeiro and secretly dreams of becoming a filmmaker even though his mother expects him to study business. When they match through the SwapLife app, they agree to exchange homes and lives for a month, hoping that living as someone else will help them understand what they really want. Pasha feels increasingly disconnected from his family. His mother died from cancer when he was young, after a fire had already destroyed most of her paintings and their family home. His father, Cyrus, rarely speaks about their grief and has remarried Stephanie, a former actress who is now pregnant.
